“Everybody gets to do what they wanna do”
Larry Schultz, the creator of The Rocket, put his sequences together to be playful, dynamic and accessible, something that has, on occasion, been slightly lost in translation!
In our 4Beat Rocket courses we look at Rocket and 4Beat through the lens of accessibility. We dive into the sequences of Rocket, breaking down the funkier moves and inversions, learn to practice and teach to a beat (and what happens to your brain and body when we move to music), and just why the idea of everyone getting to do what they want to do, functionally and inclusively, is so important.

This course covers different ground to our May 4Beat Rocket 1 course and you can take them in any order!
Join amputee and disability activist, Fiona Callanan and Good Life founder Hannah Whittingham for 4 days of:
🚀 the psychology & neuroscience of moving to a beat
🚀 Rocket 2 sequence & the intention behind it
🚀 How to practice for all bodies & all experience levels
You'll learn:
🎧 how to practice for your unique body and needs
🎧 how to share the practice in an inclusive way
🧠 how to teach/practice to a beat what music does to your brain
🧠 how all the above helps neurodiverse teachers & students!
Teachers & enthusiastic practitioners welcome!
Mornings are spent in full Rocket practice, moving in time to a steady beat, and in learning Larry’s philosophy, the sequence and understanding Rocket’s energetic arc.
Afternoons are spent breaking down poses and dipping into the psychology of moving to a beat (why it is so helpful), as well as lectures on making Rocket accessible for all without losing its playfulness, and creating a neuro-inclusive teaching environment (and how this benefits everyone, not just the neurodiverse).
If you have not taken a 4Beat Rocket Accessibility course with us before, you will also have access to 3 x interactive videos in advance that cover the foundations of Rocket, 4Beat, and accessibility principles. If you have taken our Rocket I course, you are welcome to watch them as a recap!
Rocket I & II trainings can be taken separately or together, and in any order (discounts available for doing both!). You do not have to be a yoga teacher to take the course.
