4Beat Rocket Science

“Everybody gets to do what they wanna do”

Larry Schultz, the creator of The Rocket, put his sequences together to be playful, dynamic and accessible, something that has, on occasion, been slightly lost in translation!

In our Rocket Science course we dive into the sequences of Rocket, breaking down the funkier moves, and we look at all the various inversions, but we also look at Larry’s philosophy, and just why the idea of everyone getting to do what they want to do - functionally and anatomically - is so important.

Mornings are spent in full (4Beat) Rocket practice, moving in time to a steady beat, and in learning Larry’s philosophy, the sequence and understanding Rocket’s energetic arc.

Afternoons are spent dipping into the psychology of moving to a beat (why it is so helpful), as well as lectures and workshops on making Rocket accessible for all without losing its playfulness, taking away the intimidation some feel about the practice. Through learning assists and asana breakdowns, the course will also help you to understand how bodies differ, and how everyone can find the juice in the pose, even if they may need to approach it slightly differently.

In this training we will look at the Rocket 1 sequence. The anatomy will focus on legs and hips.

Rocket Science trainings can be taken separately or together, and in any order. You do not have to be a yoga teacher to take the course.
